The Barcelona pilot is managed by Pendel Mobility. The shuttle connects the World Trade Center station with the port. If successful, the service can be further deployed in other areas. The current pilot can serve as a basis for a larger scale one.

The main risk identified for the pilot is that logistics companies and truck drivers might complain about slow vehicle on the road.

The service is open to the employees of the Port of Barcelona to be engaged via newsletter and social media (LinkedIn). Research and universities are also a target audience. To develop the service, the pilot communicates with the port employees regarding the best time for shuttle operation, number of people to participate, and ride booking. The pilot plans in-vehicle interviews to be done during trips. After the pilot, a survey collects information about user feedback and experience.
